Supporting the Construction of the ITER Reactor

ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) – a thermonuclear reactor and the associated international research program aimed at investigating the feasibility of large-scale energy production from controlled nuclear fusion – will be constructed using titanium supplied by Bimo Tech.

ITER is an international project carried out by EU member states, the USA, China, South Korea, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, and India. It is the world's most ambitious scientific initiative, aiming to create a reactor that generates nuclear energy using the mechanisms that power our Sun and stars.

As part of this initiative, the world's largest tokamak will be built. This device will be used to conduct thermonuclear reactions and experiments on obtaining clean energy on a massive scale. Construction of the ITER reactor has been underway since 2010. ITER is located in Saint Paul-lez-Durance, near Cadarache, in southern France.

Bimo Tech proudly supports the construction of the ITER reactor. Scientists will use stainless steel and titanium supplied by us to create components for panels and the cooling system of the First Wall for the ITER reactor blanket system.

We have also supplied special 316LN-IG steel tubes for the production of retroreflectors for the ITER reactor's poloidal polarimeter.

Fusion for Energy (F4E) is the European Union (EU) organization responsible for managing the EU's contribution to the ITER project. F4E was established in 2007 and its activities are planned for 35 years. Its members include the European Commission, EU member states, and associated Switzerland.
